Wine of the Day: Garcilaso 2009 Toro, Spain
Garcilaso 2009 – An Explosive nose, very aromatic, modern and elegant. Elaborate bouquet of dark fruits (plum, blackberries, blueberries…) over a backdrop of quality oak combined with touches of spices and minerals (flint, graphite) and emiting intense hints of coffee, vanilla, cacao, caramel, licorice and toastiness. Potent in the mouth, very tannic, plump, full and velvety. With a delicious acidity and a notable length. A round wine, full and sweet. Long, harmonious and balanced finisish. Greate pairing with stews, cured meats, red meats and cured cheeses.
